Cross-platform design for Hollywood’s most secure movie distribution system
Project description
CineSend is an entire suite of tools for movie distribution professionals handling huge, multi-language, confidential files like pre-release movies. CineSend Files is one of their products and it allows studios to send movie screeners securely, making video theft and leak almost impossible.
My role
I was responsible for a full redesign of the web, mobile, and TV apps used by movie industry on a daily basis. With the help of user tests and user interviews with cinema distribution professionals, I got to design new features for a cross-platform ecosystem.
Challenge
CineSend reached out to modernize their core solution for sending screeners (a copy of a new film or television programme that is made available before its full release). The challenge was to build on top of what was already working while expanding the offer with a potential product merger in mind.
Solution
I designed a file management dashboard with consistent visual language. The global design system made it possible to merge company's subproducts into one while retaining their functionality. Thanks to user research and interviews with end-customers we could innovate without alienating their cutomer base who rely on the product every day.
